About

The Vineyard is a authentic community of ordinary individuals who bravely place their trust in Jesus, allowing Him to perform extraordinary feats.

The Vineyard Story

We stand for Lives Changed By Christ

Our Church started with a small group of 30 people who began meeting in Winding Ranch Elementary School and we have experienced growth ever since.

Our Pastors, Dale and Wendy McMillian came to the North Texas area with a dream that God had placed in their heart to create an authentic community of faith. Vineyard Community Church is now almost 8 years old and the Lord has really fulfilled that vision. We purchased land in 2020, and we have almost paid it off. We are very close to building a permanent place for this community of faith to call a HOME.

Today, Vineyard Community Church stands as a single church with a couple locations. Our Sunday Service is held at 800 Copper Canyon Dr. Prosper TX. and our mid-week classes, youth group and more are held at 4900 U.S. 377  Aubrey TX.

What We Believe

We believe that church isn't just about a building. It's about people's relationship with God and each other.

  • About God

WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons, the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.

  • About Humanity

WE BELIEVE that all MEN and WOMEN are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often, though not always, subsequent to regeneration.

WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible RETURN OF CHRIST to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom; in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.

  • About Salvation

    WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ;

WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and person, and His visible return to earth.

  • About The holy spirit & the Church

WE BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.

WE BELIEVE also in the LAYING ON OF HANDS for the baptism (or release) of the Holy Spirit, for ordination of pastors, elders and deacons, and for receiving gifts of the Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed TWO ORDINANCES to the church: 1) baptism and 2) the Lord’s Supper. We believe in baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers.

  • About the bible

WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.

This church is formed as part of the Association of Vineyard Churches, U.S.A. As such, it ascribes to the Association of Vineyard Churches, USA, Theological and Philosophical Statements. Check out the Vineyard National site. www.vineyardusa.org

We were

Made

for

freedom

our core values

A Driving mercy

We want to extend mercy to any struggle, reconciling people back into relationship with God, others and the world. We want people to come as they are, with all the mess. We all have it, the good the bad and the ugly.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

James 3:17

our core values

a challenging faith

We want to accept the challenge to grow and go, reaching those in need and experience God in His presence and power.

…and let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds...

Hebrews 10:24

doing

life together

an

authentic community

our core values

a relevant culture

We purposefully present ourselves in a manner that people can understand and feel a part of. This doesn't mean a performance. It means relevant to the situation. Helping people to come to Christ! Making it "not difficult".

“It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.

Acts 15:19
